The Graduate School at UGA has honored five graduate student teachers with its annual Excellence in Teaching by Graduate Students Award. The Excellence in Teaching by Graduate Students Award recognizes the significant contribution graduate students make to the instructional mission of the University.

The 2014 Excellence in Teaching by Graduate Students Award recipients include the following UGA graduate students:

Dr. Julie Coffield to serve as Interim Dean of the Graduate School

Dr. Julie Coffield, Associate Dean of the Graduate School, will serve as our Interim Dean. In this position, she will oversee all administrative functions of the Graduate School and advocate for graduate education at the University and with other constituencies. As interim dean, she will direct all core functions, including planning, program development, admissions and recruitment, student quality of life issues, resource acquisition and allocation, and fund-raising opportunities. >>> Learn more...

2014 Picture Your Pet Photo Contest

Does your pet have what it takes to be a star? The UGA Veterinary Teaching Hospital is now accepting submissions for the 2014 Picture Your Pet Photo Contest. Winners will have their photos displayed in the new UGA Teaching Hospital when it opens in Spring 2015. Click here for more information or to submit a photo of your pet.

UGA’s new student information system Athena preparing to launch

Athena, a new student information system that will replace OASIS, is preparing to launch for fall 2014 enrollment. Once fully launched, Athena will allow students to easily access academic and financial aid records, register for classes, pay tuition and fees, and update personal information, all in one location.

Free Microsoft Products available to UGA Students

UGA students how have free access to full versions of Microsoft Office products through the Student Advantage program. Students may download and install the latest, full version of Office 365 ProPlus on up to five of their personal devices (computers, tablets or phones) with Windows or Mac operating systems.
