Teaching Portfolio Program
The Teaching Portfolio Program recognizes graduate students’ contribution to the teaching mission at UGA, development of the scholarship of teaching, and documentation of the graduate teaching experience. Offered through the Graduate School in conjunction with the Center for Teaching and Learning, the program enhances the graduate school experience both professionally and personally, regardless of discipline.
Creating a teaching portfolio is a personalized journey that may serve multiple purposes. The teaching portfolio is a tool used by academics to document skills, experiences and achievement as a teacher. Many faculty members and students use the teaching portfolio as a summative document to elaborate on teaching strengths and accomplishments for the purpose of review or for a job application. Others prepare formative teaching portfolios that portray development in terms of both teaching and personal growth.
