Preparing for Graduate School Workshop

The Preparing for Graduate School Workshop is for current UGA undergraduate students interested in graduate education at the University of Georgia. This fall workshop is designed to provide students with the tools and information necessary to apply and succeed at Graduate School. Topics include:

  • Benefits of earning a graduate degree
  • Admissions process
  • Entrance examination preparation
  • Sources for financial assistance and funding

Speakers and panelists include Graduate School representatives, current graduate students, admissions and financial aid representatives, Kaplan representatives, and UGA alumni.

The Preparing for Graduate School Workshop is on Thursday, September 6th from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. Please contact Melissa Barry at mjb14@uga.edu for more information.

Accepted Student Reception for UGA Undergraduates

The Graduate School hosts the Accepted Students Reception each spring for UGA undergraduates who have already been accepted into a graduate program at the University of Georgia. This event is designed to provide information about graduate studies at UGA and how it differs from the undergraduate experience. Additionally, the Accepted Students Reception serves as an opportunity to explain specific resources available for graduate students. The event includes:

  • Presentations and Q&A sessions hosted by financial aid and graduate housing
  • Information about the Graduate School’s professional development programs
  • A current graduate student panel & a faculty panel
  • Information fair sessions from UGA offices and graduate student organizations
  • Numerous opportunities for you to speak with Graduate School representatives about any questions you may have.
